Pr. Amélie MAINJOT, Director

Amélie Mainjot received her DDS degree from the University of Liège (Belgium) in 1997. From 1997 to 2000 she completed a postgraduate program in Oral Rehabilitation in the same university. In 2007 she got a Master of Science in Dental Materials Technology from Paris Descartes University (France). In 2008 she started to research in the Innovative Biomaterials and Interfaces Research Unit (URB2I) at the Paris Descartes University Dental School. In 2011 she got her PhD degree from the University of Paris 13 and from the University of Liège. From 2011 to 2014, she was a researcher and a lecturer (Visiting Assistant Professor) in Dental Biomaterials at the Paris Descartes University Dental School. In 2014, she started her carrier as a Professor in Dental Biomaterials at the University of Liège and Head of Clinic in the department of Fixed Prosthodontics at the University Hospital of Liège. She is involved in pre-doctorate and post-doctorate education, teaching dental materials. She is the co-founder and the Head of the Dental Biomaterials Research Unit (d-BRU) of the University of Liege. Her research interest is ceramic materials (particularly zirconia), composites (particularly innovative CAD-CAM materials), and new minimally-invasive treatment strategies development (notably using digital workflow and in the field of tooth wear). Her clinical activity is focused on esthetic and minimally-invasive restorative dentistry, and multidisciplinary management of complex oral rehabilitation cases on teeth and implants. She lectures internationally, is an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and of various scientific organizations. She is the author of numerous international publications about dental materials and esthetic dentistry, and acts as a reviewer for international journals in the same field.

Pr. France LAMBERT, Vice-Director

France Lambert graduated with a DDS degree in dentistry in 2002 and also completed a post-graduate program in Periodontology at the University of Liège. In 2005, she received a 1-year scholarship to expand her education in implantology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Currently she is Professor in Periodontology, Oral surgery and Dental Biomaterials and the Head of the Department of Periodontology, Oral Surgery and Implant Surgery at University of Liège, Belgium. Her clinical activity is dedicated to periodontology and implantology. The focus of her research is 1° bone regeneration and biomaterials, 2° soft tissue integration around teeth and implants and 3° innovative and less invasive implant protocols. She is lecturing internationally and is the author of several international publications. France Lambert is also the Past President of the Belgian Society of Periodontology and Delegate at the European Federation of Periodontology.
